The iMARU story
iMARU Co., Ltd was founded in Hanoi in 2020 with a singular focus: making Vietnam accessible for Japanese businesses. Our founders recognized that while Vietnam offered enormous opportunity — a young, growing consumer market, competitive manufacturing costs, and deepening trade ties with Japan — the path to entry remained frustratingly opaque.
Regulatory requirements shift across industries. Distribution networks are relationship-driven and difficult for outsiders to access. Cultural differences in business communication — from negotiation styles to decision-making timelines — can derail even well-funded entries. We built iMARU to solve these problems systematically.
